Klitschko Foundation's film "Play For Equality: How to Make the Dream About Equality Come True" has become a finalist in the Smiley Charity Film Awards 2025 in The Bicester Collection International Impact category.
— This year, the response to the competition has been incredible, and reaching the finals is a testament to the effectiveness of the finalist organizations and the impact of their projects, — noted the award organizers.
The winners in all categories will be announced at the ceremony in London on March 20.
Klitschko Foundation’s entry is the only Ukrainian video in the finals of the Smiley Charity Film Awards in The Bicester Collection International Impact category, as highlighted by the foundation’s CEO, Angelina Osadcha:
— We are proud that in these challenging times, we can show the world how our country is fighting for its future. In particular, how Ukrainian youth already understand that they will build a strong and successful Ukraine—a country of equal opportunities and democratic values.
Through the stories of its participants, Klitschko Foundation's video demonstrates how sports help break down barriers and create equal opportunities for all.
The "Play for Equality"project, through the interaction of physical education teachers and students, challenges stereotypes about women in sports and society as a whole. It encourages children to engage in sports and physical activities while also providing psychological support through sports.
In 2024, the "Play for Equality" initiative involved 150 physical education teachers from across Ukraine, who engaged 26,000 children in their local projects. Additionally, 7,300 pieces of sports equipment were distributed to schools to expand students' sporting activities.
