Study Visit for Grassroots Trainers

5-day international project for trainers and physical education teachers

In Ukraine, there is no social mobility between sports clubs, physical education teachers, coaches and NGOs. The result is a significant difference between sports life in European countries and Ukraine. The project motivates physical education teachers, coaches and representatives of sports organizations to develop their professional skills, give the opportunity to share experiences with colleagues, create a network of acquaintances to disseminate ideas and knowledge.

The 5-day project will be initiated by the European Commission in the EU and Ukraine.

The program involves 8 partner organizations that will conduct their own trainings.


The Study Visit for Grassroots Trainers lasts 5 days. They are full of seminars, meetings with national experts, professional coaches, visits to sports complexes, universities. The detailed program of the partner countries can be viewed at the link.

Selection conditions

Coaches, physical education teachers, representatives of sports organizations or anyone interested in the development of amateur sports are invited to participate. Level of English proficiency - Intermediate. The competition is open to 28 member states of the European Union and the Eastern Partnership countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

Number of participants: 20

Participation in the project is free on a competitive basis.

The organizers cover:

  1. Participation in the conference;
  2. Food and accommodation.

Accommodation in double rooms with breakfast in an economy class hotel. Participants independently plan the way to the destination. Upon completion of the project, participants can receive a 50% reimbursement of travel expenses provided tickets are provided to the organizer.

Fortuna Hjørring (Hjørring, Denmark) is a women's football association of Hjørring. Every year it holds an international tournament, which is attended by about 1,000 teams.

The University of Management and Coaching in Wrocław (Wrocław, Poland) is a university for coaches and managers involved in various fields of sport.

DFB-Stiftung Egidius Braun (Gennef, Germany) is a foundation of the German Football Association.

ELDERLY (Cluj, Romania) is a sports organization of the Hungarian minority in Romania.

Hrvatski Nogometni Klub Gorica (Zagreb, Croatia) is a football club founded in the town of Velika Gorica.
