Official statement on the suspension of projects due to the spread of COVID-19
Dear colleagues and project participants,
we are sure that you are closely following the news about the spread of coronavirus. We take this issue seriously, so we express our position.
Due to the spread of COVID-19 in the world, governments are adopting a number of restrictions to reduce the spread of the disease, including the holding of mass events. Thus, from March 12 to April 3, preventive quarantine is introduced in the city of Kyiv - the city temporarily restricts the educational process in general and higher education institutions, kindergartens, art and sports schools. They will also limit the holding of mass events in which more than 60 people will take part. This decision was made on March 11 at a meeting of the Standing Committee on Technogenic Environmental Safety and Emergencies "On Additional Measures to Prevent the Spread of a New Coronavirus Infection (COVID-19)". As of March 12, we are suspending our ProCharity, Horizons of the Future, Zero Waste School, Success Parcel, and Internship projects until the quarantine expires. We are negotiating with partners to move projects to another time. We will announce changes in the dates and conditions of the projects on our website in the "News" section (www.klitschkofoundation.org/news/), on our Instagram pages (www.instagram.com/klitschkofoundation/) and Facebook (www.facebook .com / KlitschkoFoundation) and send a letter to the participants of our projects by e-mail. Follow our updates to stay up to date.
In addition, the Foundation's team will switch to remote work by April 3 and convert working meetings online. Our priority is the health of the participants and the team, so we have to make that decision. We are grateful for your understanding and look forward to a speedy improvement.
Recall that the most common symptoms of COVID-19 are headache, cough, sore throat, fever and difficulty breathing, in some cases - diarrhea or conjunctivitis. The incubation period lasts from 2 days to 2 weeks. Source (Ministry of Health).
Remember that simple rules help to avoid the disease:
- wash your hands often or treat with disinfectants;
- when coughing and sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a paper towel, do not touch your face, avoid close contact with anyone who has a fever and cough;
- do not consume raw or insufficiently heat-treated products of animal origin;
- strengthen immunity and monitor well-being (proper nutrition, healthy sleep, exercise, water balance).

The request can be sent to [email protected] or contacted on Instagram (www.instagram.com/klitschkofoundation/) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/KlitschkoFoundation). We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the Foundation's team will work remotely and will not be able to answer phone calls until April 3.
