A youth boxing tournament, founded in the honour of the Klitschko brothers will be held in Ukraine from 15 to 19 August. 19 years in a row the tournament gathers on one ring the most promising boxers from all over the world.

This year, 14 countries will be represented at the Klitschko Tournament. Young boxers arrive to Ukraine from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Czech Republic, Dagestan, Finland, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania and Turkey. For the first time, Poland and Tunisia are among the participants.

"Your achievements are of an even greater value, if you can share your experience with the next generation. I am happy to be capable to create opportunities for professional development of young boxers, as well as to be an example for them. My sports career will continue in future champions. " - commented Wladimir Klitschko after the announcement about the end of his boxing career.

Klitschko Tournament is an international boxing tournament among youth of class A, according to AIBA. Best boxers are usually sent to represent their country at the World and European Championships.

The tournament for Klitschko brothers’ prizes became an arena for the first bright victories of famous boxers, among them Vasyl Lomachenko, Alexandr Usyk, Vyacheslav Glazkov, Volodymyr Matviychuk, Evhen Khytrov, Serhiy Derevianchenko, Ismail Sillakh, Denys Poyatsyka.
