CHALLENGE ACADEMY

International educational project for teenagers aged 14-16 from Ukraine and Germany who want to learn how to master personal challenges, raise environmental awareness and improve leadership skills. Participants will organize a project for their community at home after their arrival.

All over the world, teens are different due to the unique traditions and peculiarities of cultural mentality. However, the challenges they face, as well as the issues that they are concerned with, can be similar. Familiarity with the values of peers from other countries can inspire teens to change something in their own lives and in their communities. This led us to join forces with the German partner foundation "DFB-Stiftung Egidius Braun", in order to gather 42 creative and motivated teenagers who dream globally and are ready to act locally for a 6-day-project.

The project program

All training is conducted in English to exercise and improve their language skills. Project participants will find individual ways to care for the planet and to make a societal difference. During training they will discover Wladimir Klitschko’s method „F.A.C.E. the Challenge“. F.A.C.E. is based on the four pillars Focus, Agility, Coordination and Endurance. It incorporates mental and physical elements. Its objectives include building strength, willpower and learning to transform problems into challenges.

Teenagers will also set goals for their future, improve self-leadership skills and form new environmental habits. During creative team based tasks, they will experience that people become stronger and bring their ideas to life when accompanied by like-minded peers.

We strengthen our knowledge by teaching others. Therefore, participants will organise their own project to share new knowledge with their community at home.

Project's partner

“DFB-Stiftung Egidius Braun” is a foundation of the German Football Association (DFB), named after its former president Egidius Braun. The Foundation is not only a football foundation – more than that, it has a social, worldwide mission. For example, in Kharkiv, Ukraine, Children's Hospital №16 has been supported by organisation for many years. This has included the purchase of medical equipment and the treatment of children with leukemia. The organization’s motto is „Fußball — Mehr als ein 1:0!“. It means that football is more than just a game with just scoring.

The method „F.A.C.E. – the Challenge“ by Wladimir Klitschko is implemented by Klitschko Ventures and the Competence Center for Intrapreneurship of University St. Gallen.
